CIVINET Czech and Slovak Republics is a network of cities, regions and other partners dealing with issues of sustainable mobility in the Czech and Slovak Republics. It mediates good practice in the area of sustainable transport tested and implemented by selected European cities under the CIVITAS programme. Since its establishment, the CIVITAS project has supported over 800 innovative and transferable solutions in more than 60 cities.
CIVINET Czech and Slovak Republics offers partnership to all entities actively involved in sustainable transport planning and interested in sharing their needs and experience. It is also a medium for involvement and communication with national governments and the European Union.
CIVINET is a network of cities with a wide range of activities and the only network in the CR and Slovakia to cover the whole area of sustainable, clean and energy-efficient urban transport. It pays special attention to the following thematic categories:
- Integrated planning
- Public transport
- Transport demand management
- Cycling and walking
- Clean vehicles and fuels
- Logistics and goods transport
The cross-section theme for 2014-2016 is integrated transport planning and drawing of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMP).
